About this scholarship
The UHD Access Scholarship covers up to the full billable cost of attending the University of Houston-Downtown for eligible new first-time freshmen who are Pell Grant eligible or whose SAT score falls below the national mean. Applicants must complete the FAFSA, be admitted to UHD, enroll full time in up to fifteen credit hours each fall and spring term, and maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA after the first semester to remain eligible for the second semester. The award applies only to tuition and fee charges and is non-refundable to the student. Admissions and Financial Aid review completed FAFSA records and extend offers based on fund availability without a separate scholarship application.
