About this scholarship
California resident UCLA entering freshmen and transfer students invited based on academic excellence, leadership, and exceptional promise compete for the Regents Scholarship.
Recipients receive a $2,000 annual honorarium guaranteed for four years (freshmen) or two years (transfers). Approximately 75 scholarships are awarded annually. Scholars with additional need may receive supplemental grants. Benefits include priority enrollment, guaranteed housing, and faculty mentorship.
Regents Scholars are selected during the UCLA admissions process. Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA each quarter and enroll in at least 12 units per quarter.
Established in 1962, the Regents Scholarship represents one of the highest honors at the University of California.
