UCI Esports Scholarship Program

Enrolled UC Irvine students selected for varsity esports teams through fall tryouts may receive partial scholarships distributed through UCI Financial Aid. Teams include League of Legends and VALORANT, with competitive rank and team experience required.

Awards are up to $6,000 per year, with $3,000 and $6,000 tiers available. Recruits must also maintain strong academics alongside competitive gaming credentials.

Tryouts are announced on the UCI Esports website each fall. Reach out to coaches and submit your UCI application, competitive gaming resume, transcripts, and a personal statement.

UCI was the first public university to create an official esports program.
