About this scholarship
California-resident entering first-year students admitted to UC San Diego with outstanding academic achievement may be considered for the Chancellor's Scholarship. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or California Dream Act students.
Chancellor's Scholars receive an honorarium of up to $5,000 per year for four undergraduate years. The award is based on academic merit as reflected in the UC admissions application.
No separate scholarship application is required. Students are automatically evaluated through the UC Application for Admission and Scholarships.
