UBC Okanagan Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Doctoral Scholarship

Outstanding students engaged in full-time research leading to a doctorate at UBC Okanagan may be considered for Killam Doctoral Scholarships, provided from the Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Fund for Advanced Studies established through a bequest from Dorothy J. Killam.

The scholarship provides an annual stipend of $40,000 for two years.

There is no separate application: doctoral students who submit an NSERC, SSHRC, or CIHR doctoral award application to UBC Okanagan are automatically considered. Awards are administered through the College of Graduate Studies.

Mrs. Killam wished recipients to be likely to contribute to the advancement of learning or win distinction in a profession, with special distinction of intellect founded upon sound character.
