About this scholarship
PhD students at UBC Okanagan whose dissertations were accepted between January 1 and December 31 of the prior calendar year may be nominated for dissertations of exceptional quality and originality that make a significant contribution to their field.
Three prizes of $1,000 each are awarded annually. Nomination runs through the CAGS-ProQuest Distinguished Dissertation Awards process, with prizes across natural sciences, engineering, and health sciences, and fine arts, humanities, and social sciences.
Awards are made on the recommendation of the College of Graduate Studies.
