About this scholarship

Economically disadvantaged Texas residents pursuing a four-year engineering or TxDOT-approved operational business degree at an accredited Texas college may apply for the TxDOT Conditional Grant Program.

Awards cover up to $5,000 per semester or up to $10,000 per academic year based on need, including tuition, fees, and stipend. Recipients commit to work for TxDOT for two years after graduation.

High school seniors and college students apply by April 1. Applicants need a minimum 2.5 high school GPA, 900 SAT, or 21 ACT score, and must meet federal poverty guidelines.
