About this scholarship
The Tuition Exchange Scholarship at American University is a competitive merit award for dependent children of employees at participating Tuition Exchange member colleges and universities who meet their home institution eligibility requirements. Parents must work with their campus Tuition Exchange liaison officer to submit the TE application by the admissions deadline matching the student's application plan. For the 2026-2027 academic year the award is a set forty-four thousand dollars per year applied to tuition and is not a full-tuition scholarship. Recipients must take at least twelve credits each semester and meet merit Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements to renew.
