About this scholarship
Endowed scholarship established by Trevor's Gift to honor WCU alumnus and police officer Trevor Arrowood for students majoring in criminology and criminal justice at Western Carolina University. Preference is given to applicants from Henderson, Polk, or Rutherford counties in North Carolina and to those with demonstrated financial need. The fund began awarding one-thousand-dollar scholarships for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 academic years as the endowment grows. Continuing and incoming eligible students should apply through the WCU scholarship application portal, which opens October 1 and closes February 1 each year for undergraduate awards.
