About this scholarship
Full-time thesis graduate students in Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology (BCH or MIC) at the University of Ottawa presenting thesis-related research as first author in an oral or poster presentation at a national or international conference. Applicants must have completed at least two academic terms before the presentation date and have supervisor approval. Funding is first-come, first-served subject to available funds.
MSc thesis students may receive up to $1,000 once during the program. PhD students may receive up to $1,500 once per fiscal year, with a maximum of two awards total.
Submit the Conference Travel Grant Form, proof of abstract acceptance, and a copy of the accepted abstract showing first authorship to cmmdept@uottawa.ca at least 10 business days before travel. Eligible expenses include registration, economical transportation, and accommodation and meals when outside Ottawa-Gatineau.
