About this scholarship
The Transfer Student Alliance Merit Scholarship guarantees an annual $1,500 award for up to two years to eligible TSA members who transfer to UMBC from a participating Maryland community college. To qualify after transfer, members must submit a complete UMBC application by the priority deadline, hold at least a 3.5 composite GPA, earn an associate degree within four years of TSA membership, and enroll at UMBC within one year of completing the degree without attending another four-year institution. The scholarship is stackable with the Academic Achievement and Phi Theta Kappa transfer awards.
