About this scholarship

The Transfer Merit Award provides a $3,000 partial scholarship per year for up to three years to newly admitted transfer students at Coppin State University who demonstrate academic achievement at their prior institution. Students are automatically considered when they submit a Coppin admission application; no separate scholarship form is required. Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents with at least 24 transferable credits and a cumulative college GPA of 2.5 or higher. Like other Coppin merit awards, these scholarships are competitive and offered by invitation only. Applying before the December 1 priority deadline is strongly recommended for students entering in the Fall 2026 through Spring 2027 academic year.
