About this scholarship
Entry transfer merit scholarship for in-state new transfer students admitted to Winthrop University with a cumulative college GPA of at least 2.75. Students must have completed at least twelve semester hours at prior institutions and submit a completed admission application by June 1, 2026 for priority consideration. The award provides one thousand dollars per year and is renewable for up to two additional years with full-time enrollment and satisfactory academic progress. BPS and Competency Based Education transfer students are not eligible.
