About this scholarship
Nursing scholarship for Western Carolina University students who graduated from a western North Carolina high school in Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania, or Yancey counties. Preference is given to graduates of Buncombe County high schools. Additional selection criteria include demonstrated financial need and a stated interest in oncology nursing or related practice areas. Admitted nursing students apply through the annual WCU scholarship application due February 1 and should file the FAFSA by the priority deadline to document need for committee review.
