About this scholarship

For outstanding members of the UBC Vancouver women's basketball team in any year of study who show financial need, leadership, and a team-first attitude.

One or more awards are offered, each worth at least $500 and up to athletic association maximums. Selection is by the women's basketball head coach and the Athletic Awards Committee. No separate application is required.

The endowment was established by Erica McGuinness (B.Com. 2008), a three-time U Sports national champion and UBC Sports Hall of Fame inductee who hopes the award helps student athletes from all backgrounds reach their academic and sporting potential.
