About this scholarship

The Tartan Edge is an Alma College program for first-year and transfer students who reside in or graduated from high schools in Gratiot, Isabella, or Montcalm counties, including home-schooled students in those counties. Starting Fall 2026, eligible students pay a bundled rate of eighteen thousand five hundred dollars per year covering tuition up to 18 credits, a standard double room, and meals. Recipients must file the FAFSA, enroll full time each semester, and maintain continuous fall and winter enrollment. The Tartan Edge replaces all other Alma-awarded scholarships.
