The Dr. C. Ravi and Shanti Ravindran Award for Outstanding Doctoral Thesis

Recognizes an outstanding doctoral dissertation at Toronto Metropolitan University for originality, contribution to knowledge, application of theory, and impact on society, industry, or national value. PhD program directors nominate eligible students.

One annual award of $3,400 is available.

Established in 2008 by the family of Dr. C. Ravi Ravindran in recognition of his industrial and academic career. He was the first winner of the TMU-Sahota Faculty Research Award and later served as Fellow and President of the Canadian Academy of Engineering.
