About this scholarship
Texas residents with demonstrated financial need who are enrolled in a degree plan at an eligible private or independent college or university in Texas may qualify for the Texas Tuition Equalization Grant. Grants may only be used for tuition costs and are available for renewal.
Institutions award need-based grants up to $6,405 annually based on financial need, tuition differential, and available program funding. Recipients must complete at least 24 undergraduate or 18 graduate credit hours per academic year, maintain a 75% completion rate, and hold a 2.5 GPA.
Complete the FAFSA or Texas Application for State Financial Aid. Eligible students are considered automatically when requirements are met.
