Texas Tech University General Scholarships

Incoming first-time freshmen applying to Texas Tech University are automatically considered for general and merit-based university scholarships with their admission application.

Award amounts vary by program. The priority scholarship application deadline is December 1; applications received after that date are considered in the order received.

Apply for admission through ApplyTexas or the Common App. Additional college and departmental awards are available separately through ScholarshipUniverse.

Texas Tech encourages students to apply for admission early in their senior year and to seek external scholarships that can supplement university awards.
