About this scholarship
Texas high school seniors planning to enter a Texas college or university as full-time freshmen and major in music education, with the goal of earning Texas teacher certification in music, may apply for TMEA scholarships.
Awards include scholarships up to $3,000. Recipients are notified by email in January.
Submit the names and emails of five references, a short essay on when you knew you wanted to be a music educator and the teachers who inspired you, a professional resume listing musical and academic honors, and your most recent academic transcript.
