About this scholarship

Current and former Texas foster youth ages 16 to 23 in DFPS conservatorship or eligible related placements may receive Education and Training Vouchers for accredited postsecondary education or training.

Awards are up to $5,000 per year for up to five years. Funds cover tuition and other educational expenses including books, rent, and childcare.

Applicants must enroll in at least six semester hours (three for dual credit or summer terms) and apply through the Texas ETV program. Youth who turn 23 while enrolled may continue until age 23 if making satisfactory progress.
