About this scholarship
Outstanding domestic students entering the Bachelor of Applied Science or Bachelor of Science program at UBC Vancouver directly from secondary school may be considered for the Ted Rogers Legacy Centennial Scholars Award in Technology. Recipients are academically qualified and would not be able to attend UBC without financial assistance. Preference is given to students entering programs related to Computer Science or Computer Engineering, and to students from communities that have been historically, persistently, and systemically marginalized. Leadership, community service, and extracurricular achievement are also considered.
Each award is valued at $25,000 per year and, subject to continued good academic standing, renews for up to three further years or until the first undergraduate degree is obtained, whichever comes first.
Submit the UBC admission application and the UBC Entrance Award Application by the early-December deadline. Awards are adjudicated by Enrolment Services.
Funding is provided through a gift from Rogers Communications as part of the Centennial Scholars Entrance Awards program.
