About this scholarship
Illinois residents pursuing teacher licensure or an additional teaching endorsement who commit to teach in an underserved Illinois school district may receive this state scholarship.
The award covers up to full cost of attendance for up to four academic years (eight semesters or 12 quarters) of full-time enrollment, depending on available state funding.
Apply each year through the ISAC Student Portal with the FAFSA or Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid by the mid-February priority date. You must also complete a Teaching Agreement/Promissory Note. If the teaching commitment is not fulfilled, the scholarship converts to a loan with interest.
