About this scholarship

The Tata Scholarship Fund, supported by a $25 million endowment from the Tata Education and Development Trust, provides need-based financial aid to Cornell undergraduate students from India regardless of financial circumstances. Cornell supports approximately 20 Tata scholars at any point in time and awards scholarships annually for the duration of undergraduate study, up to eight semesters or ten semesters for the five-year architecture program. Recipients must have attended secondary school in India, be offered Cornell undergraduate admission, and qualify for need-based aid through the CSS Profile. Selection gives preference to students in Architecture, Art and Planning, Engineering, Applied Economics and Management, biological sciences, physical sciences, other sciences, and social sciences. Funding continues each year as long as financial need persists.
