About this scholarship
Open to MFA Directing students at UBC Vancouver entering their second year who show exceptional promise for a directing career in the theatre.
The award is $4,000 from the Sydney J. Risk Foundation. Selection is made on the recommendation of the Department of Theatre and Film in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, with no separate application.
The award is offered in memory of Western Canada theatre pioneer Sydney J. Risk.
