About this scholarship
String students residing in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, or studying with an Upper Peninsula teacher at the time of application, may apply. Prior first-place winners are not eligible.
Two awards of $1,000 each fund an approved summer music camp experience. Prize money is paid directly to the camp program selected by the Marquette Symphony Orchestra Artistic Advisory Board.
Download the application from the MSO website, obtain your instructor's signature, and submit entrance forms by the postmark deadline. In-person auditions require an orchestral excerpt and solo piece; bring an accompanist or request one at application.
