About this scholarship
The Straetz International Undergraduate Research Scholars Program provides competitive summer grants of up to $7,000 for University of Chicago College students pursuing full-time advanced research outside the United States. Eligible projects include faculty-driven research abroad, BA or BS thesis research, or in-country foreign-language training directly tied to advanced research. Applicants must review Straetz eligibility criteria carefully because requirements differ by project type, and the program is funded by a gift from Robert Straetz and managed by CCRF in partnership with Study Abroad. The published application deadline is in early February each cycle.
