Storwell Foster Child Bursary

Canadian or American citizens or permanent residents aged 24 or younger who were in an official foster-care program, kinship care, Children's Aid Society care, or a similar arrangement may apply. You must plan to enrol full time at a recognized college or post-secondary institution in Canada or the U.S. by the start of the next school semester, and agree to verification of your care history.

The bursary is $2,000.

The application asks about your intended study area and future goals, and requires a reference who can confirm your care history. Storwell, a family-run self-storage business in the Toronto area, created the fund to support former foster youth in post-secondary education.
