An Indigenous student entering the UBC Vancouver Southern Medical Program through the Indigenous Pathway who has gained strong support from the Indigenous Admissions Subcommittee may be considered, with preference for a student from or with strong ties to a Nation in the Interior of British Columbia. Financial need may be considered.
A $23,000 renewable entrance award is available through a gift from the Stober Foundation along with matching funds from UBC. Subject to continued academic standing, the award may be renewed for up to three additional years of study or until the M.D. degree is obtained, whichever is shorter.
Recipients are selected on the recommendation of the Faculty of Medicine. There is no separate application.
