Students graduating from the Arts One Program at UBC Vancouver with high academic standing, promise, and distinction are eligible for these prizes.
Two prizes of $2,500 each are offered by an anonymous couple in honour of Dr. Stephen Straker (1942-2004), a passionate teacher of the history of science, Arts One supporter, and founder of the Science and Society Group at UBC. One prize is normally awarded in each of the program's two study groups.
The Arts One Program recommends recipients. No separate application is required.
