About this scholarship
UConn STEM Scholarships are merit awards for incoming first-year Storrs applicants who choose an approved STEM major and demonstrate extraordinary involvement in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics outside the classroom. Recipients are automatically admitted to the Honors Program and the STEM Scholars community, receiving a renewable fixed scholarship amount connected to Honors participation and STEM major retention for up to eight semesters. There is no separate application; awards are made during admission review. Priority consideration requires applying by December 1. Current and transfer students are ineligible.
