Stand Out From the Crowd Prize in Physics and Astronomy

Undergraduate physics and astronomy students at the University of Victoria, including part-time students taking at least 6.0 units and graduating students, may receive the Stand Out From the Crowd Prize in Physics and Astronomy without applying.

Three prizes are awarded for the highest grades in the department's most challenging undergraduate course, defined as the course with the lowest class average among courses completed by at least 50 students. Prizes are $600, $500, and $400 for first, second, and third place.

Recipients are determined automatically from course grades at the end of the academic year.
