South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship

South Dakota high school graduates, transfer students, and returning students who complete a challenging high school curriculum, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and meet ACT or SAT score requirements may apply for this merit scholarship.

Awards provide up to $1,500 in support. Recipients must attend an approved accredited college or technical school in South Dakota and maintain academic standards.

Apply through the SDBOR Scholarship Portal. The program, authorized by the South Dakota Legislature, supports the state's most academically accomplished graduates pursuing higher education in state.
