About this scholarship
South Carolina residents attending an eligible four-year public or private college who do not qualify for LIFE or Palmetto Fellows but graduated with at least a B average (3.0 GPA) may receive this merit scholarship during freshman year only.
The award provides up to $2,800 in financial support for the first year of attendance at a South Carolina four-year institution.
No separate application is required. Eligibility is determined by the institution's financial aid office from high school records and required documentation, which may include a final transcript, counselor confirmation of graduation requirements, and SAT or ACT scores if applicable.
