About this scholarship

National Merit Finalists admitted to Saint Louis University who list SLU as their first-choice school on the NMSC application may receive supplemental aid of $2,000 per year, renewable up to four years. Awards are competitive and may be funded by SLU, NMSC, or an outside corporation.

Apply for SLU freshman admission with all materials by December 1. Not all National Merit Finalists are guaranteed SLU funding.

  • Saint Louis University freshman admission application and required materials
  • Be a National Merit Finalist and list Saint Louis University as your first choice on the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) application
  • Complete and submit SLU's online application for freshman admission with all required materials (transcripts, etc.) by Dec. 1
  • Be admitted to SLU as a first-time freshman
  • Not all National Merit Finalists are guaranteed SLU funding.
  • Award is renewable up to four years.
