Indigenous undergraduate or graduate students enrolled full-time or part-time at the University of Ottawa who are Canadian citizens, demonstrate academic excellence, and provide documented proof of Indigenous identity under uOttawa's focused admissions, scholarships, and bursaries procedure for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people may apply. Two awards of $10,000 are available annually. Apply by emailing IndigenousAffairs@uOttawa.ca with proof of Indigenous identity by October 20. Graduate students enrolled in a French-language master's or PhD program who participate in a research project at the Franco-Ontarian Institute, demonstrate financial need, and meet Ontario residency as defined by OSAP may apply for the Blanche and Maurice Lavoie Scholarship. Queen's University students in the Robert M. Buchan Department of Mining who demonstrate financial need and promising ability may apply for this memorial bursary. The award amount varies.
