About this scholarship

Open to UBC Vancouver students who have attended UBC for at least two winter sessions, rank academically in the top 10% of their year and faculty, and are entering the penultimate or final year of a baccalaureate program, the first year of graduate studies, or Medicine, Dentistry, or Law.

One $6,500 scholarship is awarded to the student who most fully exemplifies the all-round qualities of the late Chief Justice Sherwood Lett: high scholastic and literary attainment, active interest in sports, moral force of character, and ability to serve, work with, and lead others. Candidates are nominated by faculty and reviewed by a special committee. The award may be renewable for a second year if the winner maintains scholarship standing.
