Eligibility
About this scholarship
Outstanding members of the UBC Vancouver Varsity Men's Football Team in any year of study may be considered, with preference for multi-sport athletes in the tradition of the Bobby Gaul Award.
One or more awards are granted, each ranging from a minimum of $500 to the maximum allowed under athletic association rules. Recipients should demonstrate excellent leadership and maintain good academic standing, with preference for students who also participate on another UBC athletics team.
There is no separate application. The Head Coach makes the recommendation, with review and approval by the Athletics Awards Committee.
The endowment was established by Peter Bull in honour of Shawn Olson, former UBC head coach, team captain, and national champion.
