Selby Scholarship

Graduating high school seniors who are residents of Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, or DeSoto counties in Florida and demonstrate exceptional financial need may apply. You must plan to enroll full time at an accredited college or university to complete a four-year bachelor's degree and hold a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA.

Selby Scholars receive renewable awards of up to $7,000 per year toward tuition, with funding based on demonstrated need. Up to 40 scholars may be selected, and the program includes the Selby Scholar Match Mentoring Program.

Apply with a high school or state college transcript, letters of recommendation, personal essays, and participate in a personal interview with community leaders.
