About this scholarship
The Sedgwick County Shocker Promise Scholarship provides last-dollar funding for tuition and required course fees up to 15 credit hours each fall and spring semester for Sedgwick County, Kansas residents entering Wichita State as first-time freshmen. Eligible students must be Pell Grant eligible with family income and assets of $60,000 or less, an SAI of 7,395 or less, and at least a 2.5 unweighted GPA. Students are automatically considered when admitted by March 1 and completing the FAFSA by April 1. The four-year award covers gaps after other gift aid is applied. Recipients must maintain full-time enrollment, a 2.0 GPA, and annual FAFSA completion to renew.
