Second Century Scholars is a renewable freshman merit scholarship at Southern Methodist University for students with strong academic records and personal achievement identified through holistic admission review. SMU may award up to $80,000 total, distributed up to $20,000 per year or $10,000 per term for eight terms or until graduation. Applicants are considered automatically with the SMU admission application and learn award amounts in their acceptance and financial aid materials. Recipients must maintain a cumulative SMU GPA of at least 3.000 with full-time enrollment, and total SMU merit and need-based aid cannot exceed tuition and fees.
