About this scholarship

Open to outstanding domestic UBC Vancouver undergraduate women entering directly from secondary school or transferring from another post-secondary institution who are academically qualified and would not be able to attend without financial assistance.

Renewable entrance awards; amounts vary. Subject to continued academic standing, awards renew for up to three additional years of study or until the first undergraduate degree is obtained, whichever comes first.

Requires the Centennial Scholars Entrance Award application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Centennial Scholars Entrance Award Committee.

The endowment was established in memory of Sandra Sengara (1953-2023). Sandra attended the York House School in Vancouver and went on to become a philanthropist who supported local charities.
