Two outstanding UBC Vancouver Chemistry Ph.D. students in their first two years may be considered: one in organic or biological chemistry and one in any Chemistry research area. Preference goes to collaborative researchers with strong presentation skills.
Two scholarships of $2,100 each are endowed by Dr. Sandra Morris and Dr. Richard Tillyer. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Department of Chemistry in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate student application.
Drs. Morris and Tillyer met at UBC while earning their PhDs in Organic Chemistry and went on to careers in pharmaceuticals.
