Samantha Hicks Memorial Prize

For UBC Vancouver graduate students in Botany or Zoology doing research in ecology. Preference is given to students whose graduate work is centred around the Alex Fraser Research Forest.

The prize is $1,350. It is made on the recommendation of the Departments of Botany and Zoology, with no separate student application.

Friends and family endowed the prize in memory of Samantha Hicks (1969-1999), who was working on her doctorate in Zoology at UBC at the time of her passing.
