About this scholarship
Outstanding UBC School of Music students majoring in piano may be nominated.
The prize provides $2,500. It was endowed by family and friends in memory of Ruth Parnum King (1924-1993), who cultivated beauty in all aspects of life through her garden, home, culinary endeavours, fine needlework, and her deepest passion, the piano.
Recipients are selected on the recommendation of the School of Music. There is no separate student application.
