RTDNA Lee Thornton Scholarship

College sophomores, juniors, or seniors at the time the scholarship is awarded who are pursuing careers in radio, television, or digital journalism may apply. Preference is given to students from the University of Maryland and Howard University.

One $2,000 scholarship is awarded. Winners attend the RTDNA Foundation First Amendment Awards with travel covered.

Apply through RTDNA's online portal with a cover letter, resume, three to five work samples, and one recommendation.
