About this scholarship
The Rock River Endowed Scholarship was established by Morgan Freeman to support needy Rust College students from Coahoma and Tallahatchie Counties in Mississippi who are making satisfactory progress toward a degree. The fund provides five $1,000 scholarships annually, presented at Honors and Awards Day in April. Full-time undergraduates from the designated counties with demonstrated financial need and satisfactory academic progress may be selected by the college. The award honors Freeman's commitment to access at the Holly Springs HBCU.
