About this scholarship
Open to the student in the Indigenous Teacher Education Program graduating class (spring or previous fall) who has made the greatest contribution to the program throughout their years of study and who exemplifies qualities of leadership.
The award is $1,600 plus a certificate, endowed in memory of Robert W. Sterling by his family, friends, and colleagues. Robert Sterling pioneered many firsts in First Nations education and helped form and develop NITEP during a career spanning more than twenty years.
Selection is made on program recommendation. There is no separate student application.
