Undergraduate students in the UBC Faculty of Forestry may receive this award.
The award is $1,600, funded through an endowment in memory of Robert (Bob) C. Watters. In addition to academic merit, candidates must have demonstrated leadership and community or volunteer experience. Preference goes to mature students, and financial need may be considered.

After serving with the Calgary Tank Corp in World War II, Bob Watters graduated from UBC as a Forest Engineer in 1952 and later earned a Master's in Forestry from the Faculty in 1984.
