About this scholarship
North Carolina or South Carolina residents who have lost a parent or primary legal guardian may apply if they are a high school senior or enrolled in college, university, or trade school with at least one full academic year remaining.
Up to ten awards of $2,500 each are granted.
Apply online between March 1 and April 30 with proof of death, a 500-word student reflection essay, and one letter of recommendation from a teacher, mentor, or community leader.

- Eligibility documentation: applicant must be a high school senior or college/trade school student with at least one full academic year remaining
